The Foundation sponsored the drive to provide food, water, clothes and medicines to 1000 affected families in the remote areas of Sundarban that were severely affected by Yass cyclone
Considering the acute shortage of oxygen we arranged for 310 oxygen concentrators especially for villages and smaller cities in Maharashtra, Rajasthan & Gujarat. Additionally we donated 50 Bipap machines to be used in remote areas of Palghar, Raigad, Nashik and at Pune, Mumbai, Rajkot & Surat. We also provided 200 gas cylinders to a Government hospital at Barmer (Rajasthan). For the ease of transportation of COVID patients we donated one ambulance to the District Administration of Nandurbar.
We are helping Bhaktivedanta Hospital (managed by ISCON) to boost their COVID relief services by sponsoring several medical equipment. At Chennai, we are helping Vijay Ganga to set-up COVID care facility for the underprivileged.
As a token of our love & gratitude – Motilal Oswal Foundation sponsored meals to various hospitals in Mumbai for the doctors, nurses and other staff members. In partnership with Annamitra Foundation we have served hygienic & nutritious meals for close to 450 medical staff.
The Foundation collaborated with Thar Sarvodaya Sansthan to provide ration kits for small folk artists of Rajasthan. Altogether 200 families received dry ration kits through the initiative.
We sponsored Community Kitchen run by Khaana Chaiye at Mumbai to serve 300 meals everyday through Women’s Self-help group. Thereby ensuring nutritious meals to those in need and employment to local women. With Association for NutritioN And Development Action (ANNADA) we donated ration kits for vulnerable families –handicapped/rag-pickers/ small vendors/daily wage earners at Raigad & Wada.
Foundation has partnered with Keshav Srushti to help in rehabilitation of 100 families who have lost their earning member to COVID. The program will cover families in Mumbai, Thane and Palghar. We have also partnered with Sood Charity Foundation to reach out to people in need across the country.
Assam has been facing severe flood since June. Millions of people have been impacted by this situation- they have lost their lands, homes and family members.
Motilal Oswal Foundation joined hands with Akshaya Patra Foundation to provide aid to people in two flood affected districts near Guwahati.
500 essential grocery kits containing hygienic raw-grains were curated and distributed among the people displaced by floods. These kits will ensure that they at least have food to sustain till they find a way back to the normal life!
Motilal Oswal Foundation extended its support to Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana to initiate relief and rehabilitation work at Nepal post the devastating earthquake of 2015. Immediate steps were taken by distributing food packets, organizing meal camps and medical OPD camps. 3 critical care ambulances were also deployed in Nepal to reach out to remote areas.
The Foundation partnered with 3 organizations in their efforts to tackle the drought
condition in Maharashtra.
Paani Foundation, an initiative started by Aamir Khan launched a creative way to tackle
drought conditions. It announced a competition – ‘Water Cup’ wherein the participating
villages competed to create watershed development. 116 villages across Satara, Beed &
Amravati competed to make their village water-sufficient through shramdaan. MOF aided 11
villages to be part of this initiative. The competing villages created total storage
facility for 1,368 crore liters of water.
On the other hand, through Dilaasa Sanstha financial aid and seed distribution for farmers
was carried out. With the support of MOF, Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana undertook activities
such as water distribution, de-silting of water bodies and widening of bunds.
