Muhurat Trading Session and Multiple Settlements on account of Diwali

The NSE issued a circular (083/2020) on November 4, 2020 regarding the Muhurat tradition session and multiple settlements on account of Diwali. This was in continuation with an earlier circular (NCL/CMPT/42899) issued by the exchange on December 12, 2019, and it revealed that the NSE is set to conduct the Muhurat trading session on November 14, 2020 on account of Diwali. 

The circular laid out the timings for various activities pertaining to the trading session, as follows: 

It also detailed that multiple settlements have been scheduled on November 17, 2020 on account of the above. The details of the settlement schedule were also mentioned, and they’re given below for your reference.

The circular required participants and custodians to take note of the cut-off timings for pay-in at the depositories end, because of the revised settlement timings for November 17, 2020.

In addition to the above information, the circular also stated that the VaR margin rate as applicable to the security in the capital market segment shall also be applicable in SLBS.
