Week full of volatility, investors will eye global indices
By Ajit Mishra Markets traded mixed and finally settled almost unchanged, taking a pause after 3-weeks of advance. The beginning was upbeat, followed by modest gains in the following sessions however profit taking on  Friday engulfed all the gains. Eventually, both the benchmark indices, Nifty and Sensex, settled around the week’s low at 22,519.40 and 74,299.90 levels respectively.

SC to examine validity of Rs 33,000 crore income tax claim on Jaypee Infra
The Supreme Court on Monday said it will examine the validity of the commissioner of Income-Tax's assessment raising a claim of ₹33,000 crore on Jaypee Infratech Ltd (JIL), taking note of the "endless litigation" affecting 22,000 homebuyers of the debt-laden realty company.It asked the Central Board of Direct Taxes to examine the department's assessment order.
