Gold prices near record high, will Fed impact this week?

Gold prices on the MCX October futures contract held firm at Rs 1,10,177 per 10 grams, near its lifetime high of Rs 1,10,330, due to a weaker dollar, safe-haven demand, and expectations of a US Federal Reserve rate cut. Silver futures contracts also rose to 0.46% at Rs 1,29,429 per kilogram, reaching a 14-year high in the international market.
