Gold rate hits new peak, logs ₹1,300 intraday gain

Gold prices surged to a record high on MCX, reaching ₹1,11,166 per 10 grams, a 1.22% gain, while silver hit a fresh peak of ₹1,32,665 per kg, a 2.17% jump, due to safe-haven buying and gains in international bullion prices, amid ongoing global economic uncertainties. Spot gold and silver prices rose to $3,709.29 and $43.64 per ounce respectively.
