Gold prices drop sharply to Rs 1,20,600 in Delhi

Gold prices fell by Rs 500 to Rs 1,20,600 per 10 grams in New Delhi, ending a five-day record-extending rally. The 99.9% purity gold had rallied Rs 1,100 to hit Rs 1,21,100 per 10 grams earlier, while silver eased by Rs 500 to Rs 1,50,000 per kilogram. The US dollar's slight recovery and profit-taking led to the decline.
