Gold price surges to Rs 1,23,000, a potential ending in sight

Gold prices jumped from around Rs. 80,000 to over Rs. 1,23,000 per 10 grams (US$ 4,100). The current rally, starting in 2016, has delivered nearly 292% growth, with possibly more room to rise. Gold is inversely related to the US Dollar Index (DXY); a weakening dollar tends to boost gold, while a strengthening dollar may struggle it.
