MCX gold rate soars above ₹1.30 lakh per 10g on Diwali

Gold prices on MCX jumped above ₹1.30 lakh per 10 grams, with a 2.82% surge, amid strong Diwali demand. Silver prices also rallied 1% above ₹1.58 lakh level. The Indian stock and commodity markets are closed on Tuesday for normal trading, but will have a special Diwali Muhurat session. Gold prices globally eased due to profit booking after a record high.
