Silver prices stabilise after Diwali surge, wedding demand to follow

Silver spot prices in India are around ₹1,55,000 per kg including GST. During the festive season, silver buying in terms of volumes increased 15-20% year-on-year, driven by coins and bars. Demand for silver jewellery is expected to rise for destination weddings, driven by lower gold prices and ease of travel. Silver imports may reach 7,000-8,000 tonnes in 2025.
