Oil prices ease after sharp increase, still set for weekly rise

U.S. crude futures eased on Friday, trimming Thursday's surge, but remained on track for a weekly gain. Brent crude fell 17 cents to $65.82, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate was down 17 cents at $61.62. The sanctions on Russia's Rosneft and Lukoil, two largest oil companies, over the war in Ukraine fueled supply concerns, accounting for over 5% of global oil output.
