Gold price drops below $4,000 on cooling US-China trade developments

Flipitmoney

Gold prices fell 2.6% to $4,005.11 per ounce as trade tensions between the US and China eased, reducing gold's safe-haven appeal. The price briefly dropped below $4,000 per ounce before recovering. CPM Group's Jeffrey Christian attributed the decline to the unwinding of trade tensions and analysts now forecast a lower price, with Capital Economics predicting $3,500/oz by end-2026.
