Gold price surges to Rs 1,24,700 per 10 grams

Gold prices rebounded by Rs 600 to Rs 1,24,700 per 10 grams in the national capital on Thursday, while silver prices rallied by Rs 1,800 to Rs 1,53,300 per kilogram, boosted by safe-haven demand and a decline in the US dollar. Spot gold rose $28.96 to $4,008.19 per ounce, and spot silver was trading 1.22 per cent higher at USD 48.60 an ounce.
