Oil prices stabilize as US government reopens

Flipitmoney

Oil prices were little changed on Wednesday as US bill to end the government shutdown gained momentum. Brent crude slipped 8 cents to $65.08 and US West Texas Intermediate crude decreased 7 cents to $60.97. The shutdown's potential end could boost demand, while US sanctions against Russia's two largest oil producers further supported prices, with China's Yanchang Petroleum seeking non-Russian oil.
