India's veg oil imports remain steady in 2024-25

India's vegetable oil imports remained unchanged at 16.3 million tonnes in 2024-25, matching the previous year's level. Soybean oil imports hit a record 5.47 million tonnes, while palm oil imports sharply fell to 7.58 million tonnes. Indonesia and Malaysia were top suppliers of crude palm oil, while Argentina led sunflower oil imports. India imported 750,000 tonnes of refined soybean.
