Indian digital gold companies to form self-regulatory group

Gold companies such as MMTC-PAMP, Augmont, and SafeGold are in talks to form a self-regulatory organisation, following an SEBI advisory warning consumers that the digital gold industry is unregulated. The proposed body is expected to ensure digital gold holdings are audited and backed by physical gold stored in secure vaults, addressing concerns of customer safety.
