Sebi clarifies stance on Digital Gold, denies new regulations

India's capital markets regulator, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) Chairman, Tuhin Kanta Pandey, on Friday, 21 November 2025, that the Securities and Exchange Board of India is not considering new rules for digital gold at this stage. Currently, Indian investors can invest in gold through exchange-traded funds or tradable gold securities.
