Soybean prices dip from 17-month highs amid Chinese demand uncertainty

Chicago soybean futures were flat, below a 17-month high of $11.69-1/2. U.S. soybean sales to China reached 1.584 million tons last week, and possibly up to 2-3 million tons since trade talks ended a Chinese boycott. However, traders doubt China will buy U.S. beans quickly enough to drive prices higher. Wheat futures slipped while corn edged higher.
