Copper prices soar on supply worries despite a strong dollar

Copper prices rose to a new record high on Wednesday, closing 1.68% higher at 104,970 yuan ($15,046.44) per metric ton, driven by lingering supply concerns, mine disruptions, and potential US tariffs. Tin hit a record high, surging up to 8% to 413,170 yuan. Benchmark copper on the London Metal Exchange advanced 1.55% to $13,367.5 per ton.
