Silver price drops 15% on MCX, falls to Rs 3,42,390/kg

The silver futures price decreased about 15 percent on MCX at Rs 3,42,390 per 1 kilogram as of 3:37 pm IST on January 30, from its previous closing at Rs 3,99,893. With significant volatility, the metal began the session at Rs 3,83,646 per kg and continued its declining trajectory. On January 29, the March futures price of silver reached a record Rs 4,20,048.
