Jindal Steel Q2 results meet estimates with profit dip, & 4% revenue growth

Jindal Steel reported a 25.9% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹638 crore in the second quarter. Revenue rose 4.2% to ₹11,685 crore, above estimates. EBITDA was ₹2,080.5 crore and EBITDA margin was 17.8%. The company commissioned the country's second-largest blast furnace, doubling Angul's hot-metal capacity, and approved Gautam Malhotra as CEO.
