India, Canada to discuss FTA in April or May talks

India and Canada will hold formal talks for their proposed free trade agreement in April or May. Both countries aim to conclude the agreement by 2026 and increase bilateral trade to $50 billion by 2030. The talks were initiated after a reset in economic ties following diplomatic tensions in 2023. The current annual good trade stands at under $10 billion.
