UTI AMC halts new investments in Silver ETF FoF

UTI Asset Management suspended fresh investments into the UTI Silver ETF Fund of Fund temporarily, due to prevailing market conditions and a domestic silver shortage trading at a premium to international prices. This follows Kotak's similar move, citing supply improvements after Diwali. Silver prices surged to Rs 1,71,500 per kilogram, while gold prices retreated from record highs.
