Indian Rupee touches 87.79 against US Dollar in opening trade

The Indian rupee rose 9 paise to 87.79 against the US dollar in early trade on October 24 due to a drop in global crude oil prices and optimism about a US-India trade deal. However, FII outflows limited gains. The dollar index was 0.08% higher at 99.01, while Brent crude dropped 0.55% to $65.63 per barrel.
