Rupee falls to 88.41 against dollar amidst rate cut uncertainty

The Indian rupee opened 20 paise weaker at 88.41 against the US dollar, following US Treasury yield and dollar strengthening after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell signaled a December rate cut is not assured. The rupee fell amid firm US yields and persistent dollar demand, but received support from the Reserve Bank of India near 88.40-88.50 levels.
