Rupee slips to 88.77 per dollar

The rupee fell 7 paise to 88.77 against the dollar on Monday, pressured by higher crude oil prices and foreign capital outflow amid global trade uncertainties. The dollar index fell 0.04% to 99.59, while Brent crude rose 0.31% to $64.97 per barrel. Sensex declined 0.31% to 83,679.88 and foreign institutional investors sold ₹6,769.34 crore of equities on Friday.
