Indian rupee dips 4 paise to 88.69 against US dollar

The rupee fell 4 paise to 88.69 against the US dollar in early trade, weighed by the American currency's strength and elevated crude oil prices. The dollar index rose 0.08 percent to 99.68, and Brent crude rose 0.66 percent to $64.05 per barrel. India's Forex reserves dropped $5.623 billion to $689.733 billion.
