Amazon to face FTC over Prime program allegations

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is suing Amazon for allegedly tricking tens of millions of customers into signing up for its Prime subscription program, sabotaging their attempts to cancel, and breaking competition and consumer protection laws. The trial, launched in 2005, is being held in Seattle, with jury selection underway, and Amazon, with 200 million global members, denies any wrongdoing.
