US launches probe of nearly 2.9 million Teslas

The U.S. NHTSA is investigating 2.88 million Tesla vehicles equipped with Full Self-Driving (FSD) over 58 reports of traffic-safety violations, 14 crashes, and 23 injuries. The agency is reviewing reports of FSD inducing vehicle behavior that violates traffic laws, including driving through red lights and against proper direction of travel during lane changes.
