Pony.ai gets China's Silicon Valley robotaxi permit

Pony.ai becomes the first company to receive a permit for self-driving taxis to operate in Shenzhen, China's Silicon Valley. The rollout, in partnership with Xihu Group, will start with phased expansion across the city, deploying over 1,000 seventh-generation robotaxis, developed with Toyota and Chinese state-owned firms BAIC and GAC.
