Kotak MF suspends Silver ETF Fund investments due to high premiums

Kotak Mutual Fund suspended lump sum subscriptions in its Kotak Silver ETF Fund of Fund due to sharp silver spot premium over import parity price. SIPs and redemptions will continue as normal. The fund will reopen once the spot premium stabilizes. Silver prices surged by Rs 6,000 to Rs 1,63,000 per kg on Thursday, driven by heightened US economic uncertainty and safe-haven demand.
