SBI, UTI, Kotak halt lump-sum investments in silver ETFs

Kotak Mutual Fund, SBI Mutual Fund, and UTI Mutual Fund have suspended fresh lump sum investments in silver ETFs or funds-of-funds due to record-high silver prices and limited physical silver availability. The move aims to protect investors from inflated prices, with SIPs & STPs continuing uninterrupted. A 5.7% premium on domestic silver prices contributed to the suspension, effective October 13.
