PPFAS Plans Large-Cap Fund, Raises One-Fund Philosophy Questions

PPFAS Mutual Fund has filed a draft proposal to launch a new open-ended large-cap equity scheme, the Parag Parikh Large Cap Fund, benchmarked to the Nifty 100 Total Return Index. Chairman and CEO Neil Parikh stated that two reasons justify the launch: simplification or differentiation to the category and regulatory changes. The new fund will have 80-100% investment in large-cap stocks.
