8th Pay Commission likely rollout set for 2028

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission in January, but nearly nine months later, there is no update on its official notification. Implementation is expected in 2028, approximately three years later than the formation. Based on previous commissions, it takes two to three years from constitution for implementation.
