HDFC Infinia Card rewards reduced: 5X points drops to 3X

HDFC Bank reduced the reward points multiplier on Infinia credit card SmartBuy voucher purchases from 5X to 3X effective January 16, 2026. This revision lowers the potential pre-fee reward from approximately 16.67 percent to 10 percent. The base earn rate of 5 points per Rs 150 on everyday spends remains unchanged, but rewards devaluations are a broader trend across issuers.
