Coal India boosts workers' ex gratia to Rs 25 lakh

Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy announced enhancements to Coal India Ltd's workers' benefits. Key changes include: Ex gratia for mine accidents increased to Rs 25 lakh from Rs 15 lakh. Additional accidental insurance of Rs 1 crore for employees and Rs 40 lakh for contractual workers. Introduction of uniforms for all employees from September 17.
