Advisor barred by Sebi for unrealistic investment promise

Sebi cancels registration of Highlight Investment Research, a firm run by Investment Advisor Shilpa Garg, and bars her from providing investment advice. Garg allegedly promised astronomical returns to an investor and disappeared after losses. She assured a daily turnover of Rs 24 lakh on a Rs 30,000 investment, a return of nearly 8,000%. The Sebi order is based on a complaint made in 2022.
