Sebi approved a new framework called SWAGAT-FI, allowing low-risk foreign investors with government ties to register through a single window, simplifying entry and reducing paperwork. It includes sovereign wealth funds, central banks, pension funds, and large mutual funds, allowing them a fast-track entry with a 10-year registration validity.
