South Korean shares hit record on Wall Street boost

South Korean shares reached a record high at 3,433.69, up 0.77%, driven by chipmakers Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. Samsung advanced 1.31% and SK Hynix gained 3.63%, following Wall Street's overnight gains on artificial intelligence optimism. 352 shares rose, 519 fell, with foreigners buying shares worth 308.1 million dollars.
