REITs surge 8% in 2 days on Sebi's equity nod

India's five listed Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) surged 8%, after the market regulator Sebi reclassified REITs as equity instruments. Mindspace rose 5.6% to Rs 446.89, and Nexus Select Trust gained 7.6% to Rs 157.70. The move broadens participation and deepens the market, a landmark reform in line with global practices.
