Coal India Ltd was declared the preferred bidder for the Ontillu-Chandragiri Rare Earth Element (REE) exploration block in Andhra Pradesh, a 209.62 sq km area. This is part of the company's diversification into critical minerals, following the successful bid for a graphite and vanadium block in May.
