OpenAI hires ex-xAI CFO following exit from Musk's firm

OpenAI hired former xAI Chief Financial Officer Mike Liberatore as its business finance officer, overseeing billions in AI spending and reporting to CFO Sarah Friar. Liberatore previously quit Elon Musk's xAI after three months in July, now leaving a vacant role at xAI which is aggressively raising funds for data center projects.
