Adani-led terminal to double capacity in Sri Lanka

Adani Group, with partner John Keells Holdings, is doubling Colombo West International Terminal's capacity to 3.2 million containers annually for $840 million, ahead of the February 2027 deadline. The project, initially set to receive $553 million in U.S. funding, will be internally financed due to bribery allegations against Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani.
