Ambuja Cements sues JSW Cement over trademark dispute

Ambuja Cements, owned by Adani, accuses JSW Cement of trademark infringement over its "Kawach" brand, claiming JSW's "Jal Kavach" name is deceptively similar. Ambuja has filed a lawsuit seeking a permanent injunction, damage and withdrawal of JSW's trademark application. A court-ordered mediation is underway, but further hearings are scheduled if no resolution is reached.
