India gets first externally credit-enhanced green bond worth ₹670 Crore

KPI Green Energy issued a ₹670 cr 5-yr green bond with 8.5% annual coupon, backed by a 65% partial guarantee from Guarantco. Funds will support scaling renewable projects, delivering clean electricity to 2.1 lakh people and preventing 3.44 lakh tonnes of carbon emissions. The issue sets an example for Indian corporates and enhances KPI Green's access to liquidity and future green finance markets.
