Stocks reach record highs with Intel surging on Nvidia deal

Wall Street's main indexes reached record-high closes, with the Dow Jones rising 0.27%, the S&P 500 gaining 0.48%, and the Nasdaq Composite increasing 0.94%. The moves were partly driven by Intel's 22.8% jump after Nvidia invested $5 billion in the company, and the overall semiconductor sector rising 3.6%. The small-cap Russell 2000 index also hit a record high at 2,466 points.
