U.S. equity funds experience heavy withdrawals

Investors withdrew $43.19 billion from U.S. equity funds in the week to Sept. 17, the largest weekly outflow since mid-December 2024. U.S. large-cap funds saw a $34.19 billion weekly outflow, mid-cap funds $1.58 billion, while small-cap funds saw a $50 million investment. U.S. bond funds saw a 22nd consecutive weekly inflow of $7.33 billion, while money market funds saw a $23.65 billion outflow.
