Sensex drops sharply, Nifty near 25,200 after two-day gain

The domestic benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty settled lower for the second consecutive day, losing 0.49% and 0.56% respectively, due to concerns over a $100,000 fee for new H-1B worker visas and negative global cues. Index heavyweights Reliance Industries and HDFC Bank dragged the indices lower. The Nifty 50 index ended at 25,202 and Sensex at 82,160.
