Berkshire exits Munger's 17-year China EV investment

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway sold nearly all its 17-year investment in Chinese electric-vehicle maker BYD, a $9 billion stake at its peak. Berkshire bought 225 million BYD shares in 2008 for $230 million and sold nearly 76% of its holdings by June 2024, fully exiting the investment by March 2025.
