Markets start weak, Nifty near 25,100 and Sensex down

Indian equity indices initially opened lower with NSE Nifty 50 at 25,133 (0.14% decline) and BSE Sensex at 81,955 (0.18% decline). However, small and midcap stocks rose, with Nifty Midcap opening at 58,535 (0.07% gain). Top gainers included Trent, SBI, Adani Ports, IndusInd Bank, and Maruti Suzuki, while key laggards were Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, and Eicher Motors.
