Bajaj Electricals shares surge 13% on Morphy Richards acquisition

Bajaj Electricals Ltd shares surged 13.11% to ₹652.75 after announcing the acquisition of the Morphy Richards brand and related IP rights from Glen Electric for ₹146 crore. The deal will give BEL full ownership of Morphy Richards in 7 countries and strengthen its presence in the premium appliances market. BEL's full market capitalization stood at ₹7,400.99 crore following the surge.
